# Self serve user creation

**Release date: 4th November 2024**

Take complete control of giving your users access to Dynamic Content with "self serve user creation", which enables you to create user accounts when needed, without relying on Amplience Support.

Dynamic Content user accounts also provide access for [Workforce](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/workforce/). So, if Workforce is enabled on your account you can now create user accounts for it too.

Self serve user creation enhances the [organization administrator role](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/concepts/permissions/roles/#organization-administrator), by adding user account creation.

To help keep track of how many user accounts are allowed for an organization, and how many are in use, organization administrators can view the balances on the [Account Management Usage tab](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/user-guides/manage-accounts/overview/#usage-tab).

> **Note: Content Hub user accounts**
> Self serve user creation cannot be used to create Content Hub user accounts. These must be created through requests through the Amplience Support portal.

## Creating Dynamic Content user accounts

Creating user accounts is a simple process:

1. Your organization administrator [invites users to join an organization](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/release-notes/2024/create-user/#inviting-users).
2. Users [confirm their invites](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/release-notes/2024/create-user/#invitation-confirmation) to complete account creation.

Once new user accounts are created, an admin user must [set permissions](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/user-guides/manage-accounts/set-permissions/) for those users before they can start using Dynamic Content.

### Inviting users

Your [organization administrator](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/concepts/permissions/roles/#organization-administrator) invites users from the Account Management "Members" tab.

![Invite users](https://cdn.media.amplience.net/i/ampproduct/account-app-create-user-1?w=1880&fmt=png 'Invite users')

For each user account you want to create, enter a corresponding email address. The user email addresses are checked to ensure they're unique within an organization, correctly formatted and don't exceed the number of allowed users for the organization.

Email invites are sent to users when you click "Send Invitations".

### Invitation confirmation

Users complete the account creation process by doing the following:

1. Accept their [email invitation](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/release-notes/2024/create-user/#inviting-users) and set a password for their Dynamic Content account. This prompts a verification email to be sent to the user.
2. Open the verification email and confirm their new account. This creates the new user account.

Once user accounts have been created accounts, the actions those users can perform can be controlled by [setting permissions](https://amplience.com/developers/docs/user-guides/manage-accounts/set-permissions/).
